The U.S. renewable energy industry continues to grow despite federal legislation uncertainties and implementation of new import tariffs.
Renewable energy sources accounted for approximately 17% of total electricity generation in 2018. These sources included hydropower (7%), wind (6.6%), biomass (1.5%), solar (1.6%) and geothermal (0.4%).
